Colorado Bill SB 195 Was Signed Into Law.
On Thursday, May 16 2019, Colorado Bill SB 195 was signed into law by Governor Jared Polis during a signing ceremony at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Children’s Hospital Colorado spent months on drafting the key language on the bill which will now provide for mental health screening at primary care physicians and wrap around mental health services in Colorado. Our work is just beginning as the details of this new legislation is adapted and implemented into the various state agencies and our primary care physician offices but it is an important first step.
