“My art is a language I use to speak with my grief. In the quiet aftermath of loss, when words fail or feel too small, I turn to visual expression as a way to navigate absence, memory, and healing. Each piece I create is a conversation with what is no longer here, a way of holding onto what once was, and a space for transformation.

Through painting, I explore the textures of sorrow, the weight of silence, and the subtle moments where light returns. Grief is not a singular event but an ongoing process—and my work lives in that in-between space: the tension of remembering and the effort of moving forward.

My hope is not only to honor what has been lost but also to offer viewers a space to reflect on their own journeys through grief, in whatever form it takes.” – Ethan
